Mamma Mia - Remake of film poster

My version

I attempted for a second time re-creating a film poster. I done this again as I want to make a more accurate poster. I used the main  image and used the clone tool too fill the gap at the top of the page. I couldn't find a similar font for the pink writing 'Take a trip...', therefore i used the text of a different Mamma Mia poster and used the quick selection tool to remove the background. I also used the polygonal lasso tool to cut the title around the females head. I got the 'Mamma Mia The Movie' logo and used the quick selection tool again to remove the background. I found a good font for the names of the actors/actresses and 'Based on the songs of ABBA', this looks accurate as I used the eyedropper tool to match the colour and the change the size of the text (including the width and height).

My version

To complete this task I used Photoshop. I used many new tools, that I haven't used before on Photoshop, this includes the clone stamp toll, the spray brush tool, editing the size of text. Also new to me was adding the blue colouring over the background image to make it more similar to the magazine.

The main difficulty I faced was that the image was not big enough to reach the top, therefore there was a white space. I use the clone tool to match it and used the spray tool, with the eyedropper tool to get the right colour to match the rest of the image, to get the darker colour at the top where the clone tool didn't match.

I found it difficult to get clear images and the ones to match the magazine. The other difficulty I had was matching the fonts to the magazine. I managed to do this by selecting a similar font and stretching the font and changing the width. By changing the sizes of the font I got it similar.
