Sound choices

Our first choice of music, was a cover of the song 'titanium' as seen in 'draft 1'. We didn't feel the song was stereotypical of the thriller genre and made it confusing as to what genre the trailer was for. We then decided to blend 2 tracks together, a calmer/romantic piece for the beginning and a dramatic piece for did-equilibrium to increase tension and excitement for the audience.
We used multiple websites such as Freesound and YouTube creator studio, as it is free and non-copyright music/sound effects.

1st= 'Shadydave_My-love-piano' we got some negative feedback from this piece so we changed it to 'ink-Horizon'- romantic.

2nd= 'Apocalypse'- dis-equilibrium, adds drama and tension.

3rd= 'Reversed Piano' - ending, adds mystery.

From research I found sound effects a common feature of the thriller genre as they can emphasise and amplify suspense and tension. We used a bang sound effect, when Selma enters the car, emphasising the plot twist.

We also included a voice over of Lewis saying 'Strike1, strike 2, strike 3', this is very commanding an gives the audience an insight of his character, it also acts as a countdown style, which is common of the thriller genre.
